I had 'jumped the gun' and have already installed Version 2.1-rc1 on my production site. It seems to work fine.
Do you recommend still upgrading to the release version? Does the release candidate have anything missing?

Glad you jumped the gun, and it all seems to work fine!
Other gun-jumpers reported some issues that are fixed in the latest release, and there are some important improvements to some of the themes, so upgrading is a good idea.
