I installed SolrSearch plugin with Omeka 1.5.3. I uploaded a few pdf files. "Clear and reindex" does not work. The files are pushed to Solr server, but search always return empty. I searched on Solr server directly. It won't work either. The files are not indexed. I cannot figure out why.

Being able to upload and search uploaded documents isn't currently supported by the SolrSearch plugin. Right now, it just searches the title, description, and other metadata fields that are managed by and stored in Omeka itself.
That seems like a valid feature request, though. I've opened an issue for it (https://github.com/scholarslab/SolrSearch/issues/84), and we'll consider it after we've finished the migration to Omeka 2.0 for this plugin.
