We are developing a community-based, crowd-sourced platform for sharing pictures and stories of historical significance about Scotland County, NC. The project is entitled Echode, and you can check out our beta site here:

At this point, we are pretty close to having the experience/presentation dialed in and we are seeking Omeka developer(s) to work with our designer (myself) to extend a couple plugins (Contribute and User Profiles, in particular) as well as help us streamline our registration and contribution flows. Being mostly on the front-end dev/design side of things, I have reached a point where squeezing more out of Omeka is beyond my skillset.
Because Echode is free, open and is being carried out under the auspices of a nonprofit arts organization, we are presently not in a position to offer paid compensation. But, we are creative, design and code-literate folks, so working together would be fun, rewarding, and straightforward.
