I'm about to have several hundred thousand files in our installations. We will also be very limited when it comes to server storage. Is it possible to remove the original folder completely, or maybe make a symbolic link to the fullsize? We will be using a DAM (digital asset management system) for storing original files so I also don't want to end up with duplicate originals.
I know the folder fullsize won't exist when uploading CSV files, but maybe one could remove the fullsize images instead and link to the "original" folder?
Or is this actually a really really bad idea?
How is it done on omeka.net? Do the storage include all different editions of the files?
