Problems with 2.2.2 installation

Hi,
After installing I:
1) am not able to add a new item
2) after adding a Simple Page it does not show up in the list of pages and can therefore not be edited.

I get the following error messages:

I can add item types, exhibits, collections, and plugins.

I have changed the access rights for the /tmp directory to 777 but nothing changed.

Any ideas?

Thank you.

Bernhard

PS. And when I switch to another theme I first get an error page, then when I go back in the browser the new theme is active and works but I can't configure it although I can use and change the Navigation and settings tab.

I, too, am unable to Add Item. No errors are reported, I just get a table with a header "Add New Files". This happening in front of an entire classroom filled with students the other day! I am puzzled by this. I have PHP 5.3.3 and the latest Omeka codebase. Not sure what's going on, but I must find a solution FAST. These students are supposed to be using Omeka for their projects this semester!

First step will probably be to turn on error reporting following these guides. That'll help with the diagnosis.

Thanks! Here's the error I now get:

Fatal error: Class 'DOMDocument' not found in /var/www/course-exhibits.library.jhu.edu/2014/Fall/rkargon1/AS14032001/application/libraries/Zend/Xml/Security.php on line 81

That's a little surprising. The PHP module that provides the DOMDocument class is usually installed with PHP. I'd check with your server admin that PHP's DOM extension is installed and enabled.
