I'm using Omeka for a digital catalogue of manuscript images. I'm interested in being able to search and annotate these images.
Is there a way (plugin) to make Omeka IIIF-compliant? Are there any plans in the works to develop such functionalities?

From a quick look at the specs, I doubt IIIF compliance is in the offing. The scale of a plugin that could do all of that work is pretty significant, and making it a layer on top of Omeka would present significant challenges.

I don't know if it is an option, but OpenSeadragon has IIIF support and there is a OpenSeadragon plugin for Omeka. I didn't look into it, but maybe this will work
