I am the archivist of a fully processed and digitized collection of thousands of items, with approx. 15,000 digital surrogates (all images). I am looking for someone to:
· Set up LAMP stack (virtual hosting with Reclaim or AWS) and assist with configuration of Omeka’s UI/dashboard
· Initially walk me through .csv import and data mapping procedures that I will use for importing all of the collection data/JPEG surrogates (I will carry out the bulk of data import)
· Implement responsive web design for Omeka (mock-ups will be provided)
There are a few media and data handling quirks that I'd like to address as well:
· Interpreting item IDs to create master and sub-items
· Reconciling older but more complete data sets with more recent but less complete data sets
I am based in NYC, and will consider working with someone who is remote, or with someone who can come to the archives site (downtown).
