Can't enter text in wysiwyg window in ExhibitBuilder 1.1

This is the first time I've tried building an exhibit since we upgraded to Omeka 1.4.1 and ExhibitBuilder 1.1, and I'm having a weird problem. When entering content in an exhibit page, sometimes (not always) the wysiwyg text box is greyed out and the only way to enter or edit text is via the HTML editor. The text saved in the html box does appear in the public view, but when I go back in to edit the page content it does not appear in the wysiwyg box, I can only see it in the HTML window.

Also text entered in the Caption box does not appear in the public view.

Thanks.

Can you share what browser you were using when ExhibitBuilder wasn't working, and whether you've had any similar problems editing Items with the "Use HTML" checkbox on?

You can share the output from the "More information about your system" link at the bottom of every admin page, which will include information about the browser you're using, as well as the versions of Omeka and your plugins and themes.

Now that you mention it, it's happening only Firefox (although since it's intermittent it's hard to say for sure). It seems to be working OK in Google Chrome.

It only happens in the Page edit of Exhibit Builder, I haven't had any problems with editing Items, nor with editing text in the sections and exhibit metadata screens.

Below is the system info:

Thanks,
Margaret

I did a quick test with Firefox on my own system and didn't have any problems with captions or text blocks in the Exhibit Builder.

You could try updating to Omeka 1.5 (which comes with ExhibitBuilder 1.2). Each "major" upgrade version of Omeka also upgrades the JavaScript libraries that are responsible for handling the WSYIWYG editor and some other features. It's possible an upgraded Omeka and Exhibit Builder could solve your issue.

Thanks, we'll do that eventually but since we just upgraded in the Fall, it will be some time before our Systems Dept gets around to another upgrade. In the meantime, I think it's working ok in Chrome.
