Berlin Theme

The available themes are all very nice. However, I am particularly attracted to the design of the History 1989 site. It is very beautifully designed and would be the perfect theme for what I would like to create. Dave Lester says that the theme started with Berlin and suggested I post to this forum for assistance in figuring out how to make it look like the 1989 website.

Thanks, Sue Maberry, Otis College of Art and Design

Hi Sue,

We've already abstracted and released a modified version of the History of 1989 site, released under the name "Berlin." You can download it on the Theme Add-Ons page: http://omeka.org/add-ons/themes/. If you're looking to make its homepage the same as the 1989 site as well, feel free to ask questions on the forums and we can help you from there: http://omeka.org/forums/

Hi Sue,

The Berlin theme would be a good place to start making a theme that looks like Making the History of 1989. 1989 uses a theme that was greatly customized to meet the needs of the project. What specifically on 1989 would you like to replicate? Typography? Layout? Or more content-based changes, like how to get specific data from items/exhibits?
