Today we have the pleasure of releasing a new theme for Omeka S. Freedom is a highly configurable theme designed especially for users with data-rich Omeka S installations. It provides a very clean and compact interface while offering users the opportunity to configure the header, banner, footer, image decoration, the appearance of resource types and classes, and a gird or list browse layout. Additionally the theme takes advantage of Omeka S 4.0’s ability for users to configure resource pages to capitalize on left, right and main column regions to place media, metadata, linked resources, sets, and site pages where the resource appears.

The release of this theme also offers us the opportunity to welcome Nelson Amaya to the Omeka Team. Nelson has extensive experience with designing user experiences and user interfaces for content management and web publishing, and we’re excited to bring his insight and creative eye to the Omeka platforms.
