    Hello,

while trying to add a file via "add item" I get this warning message as stated in the topic.

How may I fix this issue?

    Thanks

Hi, when you were installing Omeka, did you follow the directions on this page?

    http://omeka.org/codex/Installation

All of the subdirectories in the archive directory need to be writable by your webserver, because that is where Omeka stores the files when you upload them. Exactly how to make those directories writable depends on your specific server configuration, so I suggest asking your server administrator or hosting provider. I hope that helps.

Hi, yes I did follow the installation instructions and...

Ops, sorry, my mistake, as serveradmin myself I forgot to set every directory within /archive as writeable.

Now it works of course, thanks a lot.

    So long
    Martin
