Just a note about a possible bug in the HTML Purifier plugin. I was trying to use the HTML editor to add a link to some text in a Dublin Core field. But when I saved the item, the href value was always stripped out. Only an empty <a> tags were left. Deactivating the HTML Purifier plugin let the link save properly.
Try going to the plugin configuration and changing the Allowed HTML field so that instead of "a" by itself, it has "a[href]". The brackets should indicate what attributes are allowed for that specific tag. Let me know if that works for you.

I'm getting a similar issue in Simple Pages for 1.51. It's ignoring my best efforts to include
ul and li elements. Is there some kind of built-in Purifier now?
