   I would like to add a link to a finding aid in the Browse Collections page of my site, but the admin panel does not allow HTML in the Collection Details>>Collection Description text box.

   I thought of copying and pasting code from another HTML-ready admin panel area as a possible answer, but I need a few pointers if this is the best way to go about it...

   I am using Omeka version 1.3.2, and I have Emiglio as my theme.

   Your best course is probably to just modify your theme (the collections/browse.php page, it seems) instead of trying to force HTML into the collection description.
