    Hi

I would like to know if there is some way to add new accounts and register users without having to go through the superuser (or /admin/login page). If I am not wrong, currently only admin / super users are allowed to create or edit account information.

    Thanks

    Hi Pallavi,
You are correct. Only users with Super or Admin permission levels may create new users, and you have to sign in through the admin/login screen.

Here is some additional info about users from the How To, in case you have not seen it:

Thanks for the quick reply Sheila. I have actually been experimenting with creating users with different roles.

I gathered from other posts that you are planning to come-up with the public login functionality where users can create their own accounts.

Could you let me know the tentative time frame for this?

    Thanks

    Pallavi,

We will release that plugin in the summer, probably July, and will announce it on our blog.
