  1. Hello,

I installed Omeka in a non-root directory named "exhibits". I have a WordPress installation in the root. Although I did see the recommendation against editing the .htaccess files, I followed the advice of a poster on this forum and changed my base in both files (exhibits/.htaccess and exhibits/admin/.htaccess) using the RewriteBase command. Omeka seems to be functioning and displaying fine from a user perspective, but I cannot access the admin panel. When I try, it searches the WordPress installation for a page with the name "exhibits/admin."

    Thanks,
    Erin B.

  2. Nevermind.

    Apparently, it works just fine.

I was unaware of the need for a "/" at the end of admin, which automatically renders the "admin/users/login" string.
