    Hi!
After some problems with Omeka3, I've completely reinstalled with Omeka4.
When trying to access the admin/index.php page, I kept getting a 500 error.
Deleting the .htaccess file in admin seemed to do the trick, though there's no style associated with the login page. When I try to login, it's not going anywhere. It's requesting and processing, but then nothing happens.

    Any ideas?

    Much Thanks

  2. Out of the box, Omeka needs and uses the .htaccess files included in both the route of the application and the admin folder. No one needs to, or should be deleting or modifying the htaccess file - it will only cause you problems. Some open source projects require users installing their software to rename an htaccess file from an original file name like htaccess-original to ensure that it's uploaded properly, but that also adds another step to the install process, and we're trying to limit the number of steps to install.

Check that you have not only the .htaccess file in the admin folder, but in the root as well.
