bjesiek!

Adding "convert" to the end of the ImageMagick path made the difference. Thanks for the insight. Everything is up and running as it should.

We had the same problem. Solving this involved:

Making the archive/files, fullsize, square_thumbnails, and thumbnails directories world writable. (Don't like doing this - can you advise on a more restricted set of permissions?)

Setting our ImageMagick path to: /usr/local/bin/convert

Adding "convert" to the end is tricky here, and not clear when you are on the settings screen. Note that you will of course need to modify your path if you've installed ImageMagick in a different location.

Try a couple of things:

1) Make sure the permissions are recursive; That is, check to see if all the folders inside the archive directory are writable by the server. So, the "archive" directory and directories inside the archive directory are writable by the server.

2) Make sure the path to ImageMagick is correct in your settings. You can check this by using the command "which convert" on the command line. Then, look in Admin > Settings > General Settings > Local Path to ImageMagick binary to see if the path matches what comes up when you run that command.

I have successfully installed the RC2 release but am having an issue with uploading an image. I'm not sure if this is an imagemagick issue or what.

When I add an "item" and attach an image I get this error:

"Something went wrong with image creation. Ensure that the thumbnail directories have appropriate write permissions."

I found the image and thumbnail folders in the archive folder and changed the permissions to -777 but still receive the error. Are there other image folders I need to modify or is this an imagemagick configuration issue?

thanks,
Ben
