I had to modify the .htaccess files in both the root folder and the admin folder to include these lines:</p> <p># added specifically for 1and1.com<br /> AddType x-mapp-php5 .php<br /> AddHandler x-mapp-php5 .php</p> <p>Those lines force the 1and1 servers to use the PHP5 libraries.</p> <p>However, I see that 1and1 servers are ignoring the directives in this part of the htaccess file:<br /> php_value display_errors 1<br /> php_flag zlib.output_compression On<br /> php_flag register_globals off<br /> php_value zlib.output_compression_level 5</p> <p>because the 1and1 servers aren't loading mod_php5.c. I'm not sure what they're loading and I also believe those 'php_' directives are OK to be skipped.</p> <p>Jason </p>
