In launching our first public Omeka exhibit, one thing that came up was the need to have multiple lines in the exhibit "Credits" field; one single wrapped line of text wasn't enough for our development dept. Could you bump the text entry field to a two-line textarea, and handle the "Credits" text the same as the "Description" text (i.e. using nl2p, nl2br, or whatever's being done)...thanks!

These forums exist to support Omeka users. Before posting, there are two places to look if you have a question:

The codex is our own wiki, which is a growing encyclopedia of knowledge about our software, how to set it up, build themes, plugins, etc. Anyone can freely edit and add to this to create a better resource for future users. http://omeka.org/codex/Main_Page

The forums are fully searchable. Before asking a question, search the forums to see if someone else has already gotten an adequate response. If not, create a new thread. http://omeka.org/forums/

Thanks for picking up on this stuff, Douglas. The distinction of 'public/not public' is really intended to limit what is viewable to those users who are not logged in (or logged in with minimal privileges). So it shouldn't affect people with 'administrator' status.

This bug shouldn't be too hard to fix, so thanks for letting us know.

It seems that an admin account can successfully create an exhibit and make it non-public, but as soon as it is non-public it disappears altogether, and can only be seen and made public by the superuser. I'm not sure I understand the intended scope of "public," but would expect that anyone with the admin role should be able to see non-public exhibits.

The Omeka dev team has found a bug in RC4, which prevents adding/editing of text in exhibit pages. We're working to correct the bug, and will have a fix before the public release.
