trouble installing omeka 2.1.3

I'm having trouble installing omeka 2.1.3
I have uploaded the entire folder but the omeka does not come up. My site is www.thecoreproject/omeka
I suspect it has something to do with the
db.ini file but what do I know about anything. Can you help?

I used filezilla to upload the folder

I have uploading the folder twice. When I go to the site what i see is-

Omeka has encountered an error

To learn how to see more detailed information about this error, see the Omeka Codex page on retrieving error messages.

I'm sorry, that's
http://www.thecoreproject.org/omeka

If you suspect the db.ini folder, I'd double-check the database settings in there to make sure that they match up with the database you created and the permissions for it.

I checked that and as far as I can tell, the info matches up.I'm still having the same problem. Is there any way you can help me?

The error coming up on that page is now one about upgrading from very old versions.

Is this an upgrade? If so, from what version?

Ok, here's what happened.

I got some help with the problem described above from the support team at dreamhost.com.
I got help editing my dbname for my db.ini file. It was changed to harlemcore_omeka which is from anotehr site, harlemcore.com. The problem is now the omeka section of my thecoreproject.org site has 'devolved'. The version I originally uploaded was 2.3.1. Now the error meassage says I need to Need to Upgrade to Omeka 1.2.1 which I'm pretty sure is an older version. I think I need to change my dbname to something that will allow me to use the 2.3.1 version that has been uploaded to my site. am i right with assuming that?

If you're trying to do a clean install, I'd just drop all the Omeka tables so the installer can start from a clean slate.

Dreamhost should have phpMyAdmin or some cPanel tool or similar to let you drop the tables.

I don't understand what that means. how about this: I delete the omeka folder i uploaded and uploaed another omeka folder 2.3.1. what do i call use for a dbname for my db.ini file?

got it done... and I thank you again.
