Since the upgrade we have encountered an issue with the search function. All of our items are designated as "documents" in record or item type, this seems to make them unsearchable unless you select record type "document" in the advanced search. Is this the only way to search records that have been given an item type designation? How should our items be set up so that a keyword search does not require going to the advanced search page?
An item's type doesn't affect whether it shows up in either the item-specific advanced search or the site-wide search.
Thanks for your reply. I am testing and the only way I can get keyword search results from the "Table of Contents" Dublin Core field of my records is when I go to the full advanced item search and selecting document type. Does this mean that the site-wide search does not search the full Dublin Core record of each item? What is the difference between the two?
