Recently, I have encountered a problem adding additional creator fields while editing items. When I click "Add Creator," I am routed back to the original admin item page. Any suggestions for fixing this would be greatly appreciated.

Is this behavior experienced only for Creator? Have you tried adding inputs for other fields?
What version of Omeka are you using?
I'm using Omeka 1.1 -- I went back and tested the other fields and this behavior occurs each time I try to add an additional input to any field.
I am not able to reproduce this behavior.
Does this occur on multiple browsers?
Does this occur on any other Omeka site you may have, or is it specific to that installation?
When the "Add Input" button is clicked, it does trigger an AJAX request. Perhaps the javascript is encountering some problem.
