Possible that upgrade to 1.3.1 may have caused duplicate, nested directories?

Forgive me if this is a repeat - I've found pieces of this problem, but not one post that addresses the problem as a whole...

After upgrading to 1.3.1 from 1.3, we had some problems, and I wanted to share to get some feedback.

Things started with the "No layout.gif" error mentioned elsewhere in the forums. We found that, after the upgrade, we suddenly had a duplicate nested exhibits_layout directory:

ExhibitBuilder/views/shared/exhibit_layouts/exhibit_layouts/

We took the forum's advice, got rid of the ExhibitBuilder directory, and re-unzipped and installed the plugin.

Exhibit Builder worked well after that, but then we found that we couldn't see any thumbnails.

We then discovered that we had the same duplicate, nested directory problem with three subdirectories of archive:

archive/fullsize/fullsize

archive/square_thumbnails/square_thumbnails

archive/thumbnails/thumbnails

We moved everything into the parent directories and removed the subdirectories. Now we can see our thumbnails again.

We haven't immediately found anyplace else where this has happened.

Did we do something wrong? Has this happened to anyone else? Is there something screamingly obvious that I'm just missing on a Friday afternoon?

As always, thanks for your help and advice. Loving Omeka despite the occasional bump in the road!

Omeka doesn't actually alter any of your directories when you upgrade.

It sounds like you may have copied some directories over from 1.3 to 1.3.1 and accidentally nested the directories instead of replacing them.
