Are there any plans in Omeka-S to split out the admin so it can run over https, while the public site runs on http?

Using the ssl setting in application/config/config.ini for Omeka 2, you can already tell Omeka to force HTTPS usage for all pageviews, for login pages and all other pages for logged-in users (which will cover the admin), or for just login pages.
