Mediawiki Formatting Won't Display in Scripto

Hello everyone,

We are using Scripto in order to create a transcription where the text is formatted with MediaWiki markups so that it looks like the original manuscript. We regularly use things like tables, text align, indenting, etc.

The formatting displays correctly once you've entered in the markups and hit "save":

But if you navigate to a different page and come back to view the displayed transcription, the formatting is lost:

It displays correctly again once you hit, "add/edit", and save.

Has anyone else encountered this issue? Is this a question better answered by MediaWiki forums?
