I just found Omeka. I am presently putting a lot of materials up on the Internet Archive and would like to use Omeka to organize the collections. What is the maximum number of documents which Omeka can hold in its database?

Hi Gerry,
You ask a good question. The software is very scalable and may be more limited by your server than the actual software. We have tested it and found that it can handle over 100,000 records, and see no reason why it can't be scaled bigger.
If you have files attached to those records, your server will most likely slow down after about 10K items.
I guess the answer is that we don't know of a limit and that Omeka can handle a very large archive.
