Email reply on contribution

I was editing the "thank you" email for the Contribution plugin and my additional html is showing up with the tags when sent to the user. (meaning, <i>Thanks for sharing</i> shows the<i>` in the email).

I'm guessing I'm just over looking something. Can you help?

Also, when the contributor uses a gmail.com address the email doesn't come through. (I checked the spam folder as well). Any reason for this?

Katharine

The emails are plain text and aren't being sent in an HTML format, which is why the tags are appearing in the text of the email.

Are emails getting through clients other than gmail?

They are coming through the @niu.edu accounts loud and clear. I'll try a few others this afternoon.

I've now tried hotmail, yahoo, gmail, and another university email address and none of them received an email reply after the contribution was submitted. Any thoughts?

Hmm, not sure what is going on here. Thanks for the investigative work. We'll see what we can do.

Thanks,
Sheila

Hi Sheila,
Wondering if you had a chance to look at the bug in web-based emails?

Thanks,
Katharine

The team is in the process of revamping the entire plugin. Hoping to have a new version by the end of the summer.
