Digital Commonwealth of Massachusetts (a gateway to digital assets hosted by Massachusetts cultural organizations) seeks an open source developer to work on a new version of the portal. The portal harvests, indexes, searches, and displays metadata from OAI repositories harvested from members and also OAI metadata harvested from Digital Commonwealth's DSpace repository. The portal must also have a content management system that allows the creation and administration of informational content ('brochure" content) relating to Digital Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
It seems as though OMEKA would be an excellent open source solution for this portal project. I would be very interested to share the full list of requirements for this project with OMEKA developers and to hear if an OMEKA approach would make sense.
