The Docs Viewer plugin embeds a Google document viewer into the show pages for items in your Omeka site.
The plugin supports a variety of file types. Note that some files may take a long time to load, and some may not load at all, depending on file size, connection speed, and other variables. When you use this service you are acknowledging that you have read and agreed to the Google Docs Viewer Terms of Service.

Once you have installed the Docs Viewer plugin, select Plugins in the top navigation of your admin. Activate your plugin and select Configure.
The configuration page gives you options for where you'd like the Docs Viewer plugin to appear: on either or both the Admin or the public views of your site.
To have to Docs Viewer Plugin work on the Admin side, make sure the box for "Embed viewer in admin item show pages" is clicked. You can use the Viewer Width and Viewer Height fields to set the dimensions of the viewer in pixels.

Save Changes to finish the configuration process.
To add documents to an item, use the Files tab when editing an item.

If you have trouble uploading a specific file type, try checking the accepted file types in your site's security settings
