The following list is an aggregate of plugin ideas that any developer can pick up and develop. Using our plugin API, you can extend Omeka's core functionality. If you're interested in these plugins, please post to the developer group. This list is ongoing, so add your name next to a plugin or add your own ideas.
- Audio Wrapper - Not currently under development.
- Flash Video Wrapper - Currently in beta, released to the developer list.
- Barcode - Created, in beta, and stored in the plugin repository. In the future, we'd like to add the ability to generate avery labels to easily print-out barcodes. More information can be found on the BarCode page on the Omeka Addons Trac.
- Blogging Plugin - Work started, incomplete. Plugin currently exists and is stored in plugin repository.
- Faceted Browsing
- YouTube-style embed codes
- Export from Zotero to Omeka
- Comments
- Gravatar - Provide ability to associate users with gravatars
- Podcasting - ability to publish and subscribe to podcasts (potentially tie to the blog plugin).
- Survey Builder import - Import responsed from CHNM's Survey Builder.
- Puzzles and Games - Create simple games/puzzles/quizes, and other educational fun stuff from archive items.
- Microformats Parser - Add various items marked up with microformats.
- Scrapbook Plugin - Talk about making Omeka a multi-user “scrapbook” for people to collect their own items. Build off the MyArchive plugin.”
